YOUR SMALL BUSINESS WEBSITE MUST BE 100% MOBILE
Let me paint you a quick picture.
You were supposed to buy the tickets for tonight’s show with your Boo but you forgot… so while you are having dinner you decide to buy them, super quick, right there from your phone… but once you google the show and you finally find the website that sells the tickets you see that that website looks exactly how it would look on the computer, which means —that you have to stretch it to be able to read every word and move the whole website around to find the buttons or the menu and on top of that it’s soooooo slow. After trying for a 30 minutes, and spending your whole dinner with your nose in your phone, the show is about to start and you still haven’t even passed the “pick your seats” page……. Oh forget it let’s just get dessert and got to the movies!!
This is 2017 almost 2018, at this point of the game your website being mobile friendly is not enough anymore.
You need a MOBILE RESPONSIVE WEBSITE.
Mobile Responsive means that your website is fully functional for mobile users and it ADAPTS to any device. Adapts is the key word here. If your clients are looking at your website from an Iphone 7 plus you want your site to adjust to their device. If someone is trying to buy a product from your small business website from a tablet your website must look and WORK the best possible way in any tablet. And in this day and age you know that your clients are always on their phone and that the percentage of potential clients who will search for your business on a desktop is very low in comparision. So having a mobile responsive website should not be an option.
WordPress is a great option to build mobile responsive websites.
Most premium WordPress themes include mobile responsive versions and they usually have very creative ways to display menus, buttons and images. You can even have the same animations that you find in desktop website right on your phone. So there’s really not excuse to not have a mobile resposive website for your small business.
The main purpose for your small business to have a website is to provide information to your clients about your business and ultimately generate sales and profit. Your website is your first presentation card, it represents you, your brand and how you do business. And even if you are the best at what you do and you have an amazing business, those first few minutes on you website will determine if they choose your services or not. For this reason it is extremely important to provide them with the best possible experience and ultimately make it easy for them to take action inside your website and buy, or sign up for your newsletter or contact you.
We all like things fast and well done, and with companies like Amazon.com, with their Amazon Now and their Drone delivery, he bar has been raised very high, make sure your business is ready to play and that you have a 100% mobile responsive website.
